Seismic applications and other situations associated with noise and vibration often call for isolating air handling equipment from the roof structure. Conn-Fab vibration isolation systems can attenuate that noise and vibration with great precision for equipment of all sizes, from very small to very large.
Model CFSR vibration isolation rails offer an economical solution for packaged rooftop equipment and fans. These spring rail packages and Conn-Fab roof curbs are custom-engineered for optimum vibration and noise attenuation. An inert, elastomeric air and weather seal assures that the system operates as an airtight return air plenum. Static deflection of up to 2” is available. For some applications, the spring rail packages may be provided separately.
Model CFV vibration isolation curb achieves significant noise/vibration reduction with integral high deflection, spring modules that are built into the heavy-gage galvanized curb. The modules are laterally stable, pedestal-mounted assemblies. Their heavy-duty springs are individually sized to the air handler’s weight distribution, so level operation is assured. Access ports for each module enable them to be inspected, leveled or changed if necessary after equipment installation. An inert, elastomeric air and weather seal assures that the curb operates as an airtight return air plenum. Static deflection of up to 4” is available.
